Everyone who has an Internet connection has watched a video on YouTube... but if you are trying to view clips and are continually having to wait for it to load, you could have some problems deep inside your PC. There is a very simple set of steps to fix this problem, and this tutorial will show you how.
Step 1) Reinstall Flash Player
The first thing you want to do is to reinstall Flash player. This is the technology which YouTube uses to play videos on your computer and is what causes most of the issues. To do this, you should first uninstall Flash Player by clicking on Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove programs and then locating "Adobe Flash Player". There might be several instances of the Flash Player program on your PC (notably "ActiveX" and "plugin".)
You should uninstall both of them and then restart your PC. When you've restarted Windows, try going on YouTube again. It should prompt you to download Flash, which you should do. After installing a fresh copy of Flash, you then need to check to see if the problem as gone or not.
Step 2) Reinstall Your Internet Browser
If you are using FireFox or Chrome, then it's advised you reinstall your Internet browser to make sure that all the files that are inside it are clean and working correctly. You can do this by heading to the respected website of your favorite browser and then downloading the latest version of it. This will then overwrite your current browser and keep all your old settings. If anything was wrong with your browser & caused the YouTube pausing problem, this would fix it.
Step 3) Check Your Internet Connection
One of the main causes of YouTube videos running slowly is just down to how fast your Internet is. You should make sure you have a fast connection by looking for "Internet Speed Test" on Google. You also need to make sure that any other computers on your network are not using excessive amounts of bandwidth by checking to see if anyone is downloading or checking their emails constantly. You need to have as faster Internet connection as possible to allow you watch videos smoothly online.
Step 4) Clean Out The Registry
If none of the above fixes work, then you should try cleaning the 'registry'. This is the Windows database which stores the information and settings that your programs need to run. It's often the case that many registry settings become corrupted and lead your PC to run slower and with errors. This affects the speed of your YouTube videos as they need to use a lot of registry settings to run. To clean out the registry, you should download a registry cleaner and let it scan your PC. It will remove any of the damaged or corrupted settings that are inside this database, allowing your computer to run a lot faster again.
